Asian 1: An Authentic Thai and Sushi Experience in Bellingham

A friend who had been dining here for years introduced me to this place. Food:5/5 - good food at reasonable prices. Tasty too. They offer a great selection of lunch specials that includes soup, choice of brown or white rice. We had the yellow curry chicken, pad Thai noodles lunch special and Penang red curry lunch special. They offered gluten free and vegetarian food options. One of us had the Thai iced tea which offers one free refill. If you’re looking for healthy food with a good selection, this is the place to eat. Service: 5/5 - Ian, our server was friendly and consistent Atmosphere: 5/5 - a great place for friends and family to share a variety of food. We’ll be back!

Clean, comfortable, and calm. A good experience with both adults and children. Ask for crayons and coloring pages for the kids as they have them at the front desk but don't always think to offer. Food is a good solid fusion of American Chinese, Thai and Japanese food. They did really well with removing spiciness, which is something a lot of other restaurants struggle with for kids. The honey chicken is amazing, highly recommend it. All in all a good comfortable experience. A word of warning though if you get a booth: the seats are very wide which helps but the walls between booths are flimsy and cannot be leaned against. Get there before 4 or 4:30 for happy hour which reduces the bill by 25%!

My husband and I have been coming here for years. We LOVE it. The staff is always so friendly and kind, the food is always delicious. Every time we want to try a new spot in Bellingham we end up here because it’s always so good and a great time. The cocktails are delicious and priced good. Every special occasion for us is spent at Asian one!

Food was excellent, service was great and ambience was amazing. Place was quiet and peaceful. Had spicy noodles and just loved it. Would highly recommend this place for vegan options as well.

Friends brought us here. What a treat! Ian was so cordial, very proactive. We ordered their Mongolian Beef and the Sweet & Sour Chicken. Exceptional! We will definitely be saving this place!

Great food! We waited for a bit for the bill, our waitress noticed we were done so we thought she would come over but she disappeared for a hot min. Other then that it was calm and a nice relaxing time. 70$ For a lot of food shared between 3 adults and a child.

Okay, the main reason for this review is that the the sushi is made with REAL crab, not imitation!! Major kudos to Asian 1 for doing this! I hope business is good because of this!! We'll certainly be back! Real crab, folks! It was so good!!

Been going here for years and they have held their standards consistently, delicious food, spice levels are followed to a T, the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, and best of all, I have never had a gluten cross contamination lol. They have many options of meals that can be made gluten free! The atmosphere is fun, when it is busy it is loud, but it's because everyone is having a great time!
